Calling all beginning meditators!
This is a 4 week series introducing basic meditators into different philosophies of meditation:
Week 1: Basics of Meditation, the body scan + homework
Week 2: Mindful Awareness of Thought – a CBT approach to Mindfulness + homework
Week 3: Mindful Awareness of Self – self-compassion + homework
Week 4: Mindful Listening to Self and Other using previous concepts and closing concepts
You should come away from this workshop with:
- An awareness of how to meditate
- An appreciation of what is the way to expand your awareness of yourself in the world
- The tools to start to expand your own daily practices
What to bring:
- Water
- A journal
- A blanket
- Comfortable clothing
