Mindfulness for Everyday Life: The Basics

Calling all beginning meditators!

This is a 4 week series introducing basic meditators into different philosophies of meditation:

Week 1: Basics of Meditation, the body scan + homework
Week 2: Mindful Awareness of Thought — a CBT approach to Mindfulness + homework
Week 3: Mindful Awareness of Self — self-​compassion + homework
Week 4: Mindful Listening to Self and Other using previous concepts and closing concepts

You should come away from this workshop with:

  1. An awareness of how to meditate
  2. An appreciation of what is the way to expand your awareness of yourself in the world
  3. The tools to start to expand your own daily practices

What to bring:

  1. Water
  2. A journal
  3. A blanket
  4. Comfortable clothing
